My stepson has loved having these books! November 19, 2008 A True Hero of our Times It is refreshing to have a movie that doesn't tempt children to fight bad guys or jump off something and fly like a superhero. Wall-E keeps it simple and this Golden Book lets them remember how simple life can be no matter what we face. October 26, 2008 my son loves it! my 5-yr-old son hasn't even seen this movie, but he did see previews and trailers which made him like the character wall-e. since he's just learning to read, i try to find books that are interesting for him (he's definitely out of the 'baby' book stage) but still easy enough to let him help me read. this was perfect for him. not too short, and not too long, so it held his attention too. October 10, 2008 Wall-e Book Great Wall-e book. Good synopsis of the story for young readers. In fact I read it to the party-goers as several of them had not seen the movie. It gave them a very good idea of what the movie was about and who Wall-e was. August 27, 2008 Overall Great Book for Children Great book that is a good overview of the movie for children. They include a few weird words, such as 'holodetector' and may be difficult for young children to read as well as hard to describe what the word is (the best thing to say is 'computer'). August 17, 2008 Walle LGB How can you go wrong with a Little Golden Book? They've been around for years, and continue to bring joy to children. This book (Walle) has good pictures, and is interesting for our son to read to US. Recommended. August 17, 2008 Phenomenal art! I initially bought this book for my son after seeing WALL-E in the theater. I didn't expect much but he really was into the film so I figured it might be good for a couple reads. Turns out this is a really phenomenal book with some great art work. The story pretty much mirrors the film from start to finish so it was really easy for him to follow (he's only 2). But the art style is what I enjoy the most. It appears to be concept art that was compiled simply for the book and it has a really warm and loving feel to it. Highly Recommended! August 13, 2008 Simple overview but kids like it Got it because my kids liked the idea of WallE, who they call Fred. They didn't see the movie, just trailers and online at disney.com. Tells the story simply and my daughter,6, can read it to the other ones. August 3, 2008 The Little Golden Binding is Falling Off The last few little golden books that I purchased from Amazon have had the golden binding sticker falling off the book when they were delivered. This one immediately fell off on taking it out of the box and I had to glue it back on. Oddly enough, I have had this problem with the Golden Books made in the US, and not with the Golden Books made in China. The quality control at the US plants and Amazon must be very poor for this to be the case. The book itself is okay. Just the basic outline of the Wall-E story. It is made in the same style as the Pixar 'Cars' Little Golden Book. July 31, 2008 Cute book- my girls love it. My girls love this book and want to read it every night before bedtime, as well as during the day. It is colorful and even teaches a few concepts (big and small, loud and quiet, etc.) My only problem is not with the product but with Amazon. They just threw it into a box (along with the Wall.E coloring book I ordered) with some crumpled brown paper and when it got to me is was mangled, bent and crumpled with the binding coming off- the coloring book was in bad form, too. I have golden books from my childhood in much better shape. Book gets 4 starts (not five because I felt it wasn't completely accurate in retelling the original story); Delivery gets a black hole.
