A toddler's graduation from diapers to the potty is always a very important moment--and one to make parents and toddlers proud! In this book, Hannah needs to have her diaper changed so she can go out and play. Then Mom and Dad bring a big box home, and Hannah is anxious to open it up and see what's inside. Is it a rocking chair? A bed for Teddy? No, it's a potty--which means it's time for Hannah to graduate from diapers. This gentle and humorous little story is charmingly illustrated and told in verse. Little girls will enjoy looking at the pictures and having the story read to them. Meanwhile, they'll start getting the idea that it's time for them to grow up, exactly like Hannah. So that at last, they'll be able to say: "I'm off to the potty, No more diapers for me! And I feel great, I am proud of ... ME! Here's a pleasant and effective new way to begin a child's toilet training. Barron's also publishes a potty book for a little boy, starring Henry. (Ages 1-4)

Great Potty Book
I bought this book for my daughter along with Once Upon a Potty. I personally was more drawn in by the Once Upon a Potty title, but I actually think my daughter likes this one better. I started reading both to her shortly before I was getting ready to potty train. Ihink the books helped expose her to the idea of potty training, because she immediately caught on. I would tell her that she had to go on the Potty, like Hannah and Prudence. The books are very similar in the idea, but I think this one is a little more elementary, but in that way appeals more to small children for example with the rhyming. WE still read this book even though she got the hang of going potty to reinforce the message and I think it is helping.

Sloppy Used Book Business
Take care who you order your used book from. I was charged $3.89 for a used book with the back of front cover sticking to the first page. Sometimes it pays to invest an extra dollar or two if you're too busy to return it. This is a really cute book and perfect size for little hands.

Best little potty book for girls!
My two and half year old daughter loves this book! After I read it to her, she was willing to pull down her pull-up and sit on the potty. She wanted to try it when she had been refusing. My daughter asks me to read this over and over. It is very easy for a toddler to understand and does an excellent job of teaching potty training concepts to little ones. The pictures are also great for little ones! I am very glad we bought this book!
