Every little boy's graduation from diapers to the potty is always a very important moment—and one to make both parents and toddlers proud! In The Potty Book, Henry needs to have his diapers changed so he can go out and play. Then mom and dad bring home a big box, and Henry is anxious to open it up and see what's inside. Is it a rocking chair? A bed for Teddy? No, it's a potty—which means that it's time for Henry to graduate from his diapers. This gentle and humorous little story is charmingly illustrated and told in verse. Little boys will enjoy looking at the pictures and having the story read to them. Meanwhile, they'll start getting the idea that it's time for them to grow up, exactly like Henry. So that at last, they'll be able to say—"I'm off the potty!"

Great Book for Potty Training
We love this book for potty training. Our son loves it and it is a really great book for boys. I would recommend this book to everyone I know that has boys that are about to start potty training. It has helped us out ALOT.

Served its purpose
We got this for our son and he seemed to like it. It covers a good amount of material but I would not call it straight forward instructions. It's a story about a boy and how he learns how to use the potty and so we used it to talk to our son about him using his potty chair.

The Best and Funniest!!!
Buy this book, you won't regret it.

Not only is it great in telling a story to kids about using the potty, but it's darn comical and the pictures are cute.

Even the verses rhyme!!!!

Cute
This is a cute book, but not helping my son to poop in the potty. I just want him to see that it's ok to do so, but he won't have it. Doesn't matter if everyone in the world poops in the potty, he just doesn't want to. It's got cute illustrations though. A nice before bed book.

Great for little boys not wanting to give up their diapers
I bought this book for my son who is 4 years old and is not interested at all with learning to use the potty. He loves books so I thought I would get this to show him that other little boys are being potty trained. Now, the book is adorable and Henry with his teddy makes potty training less scary. My son will sit on the potty but that's about it. But it's a first step!

Success with potty book for girls
I used The Potty Book for girls to help train my daughter and she lived with it for the first few weeks. I just started training my son and he found her book, he seems so enthralled by it that I decided to buy the boy book too. The accidents in the book really helped to bring home the "tell mommy" concept for my kids. I highly recommend this book and the girl one too. I am looking forward to ordering it. P.S. I am saving the girl book so my 5 year-old can read it to her kids someday! LOL

Great Role Model for Toddler Boys
Review by Sherry North, Author, Because You Are My Baby

The rhyming text and funny illustrations make this title stand out from other dry potty training books. We began reading it to our son when he was 20 months old, and he was completely potty trained shortly after turning 2. I think this book was a big help - it gave our son a role model his own age, let him know that he should not be discouraged by accidents, and instilled the impression that it would be cool to wear underwear instead of diapers. I highly recommend this book.

Buy a different book!
This book sucks. It didn't keep my kids attention because the picture didn't look like a toilet or a potty seat. It looks like a blue circle. Get one of the lift a flap books instead--at least they have a real looking toilet and a kid that could be a boy or a girl--use it for more than one child. Don't bother with this one.

This hands down the best book for boys transitioning from diapers
I have so many books on potty training, specifically for boys, and this book is the easiest to understand for a two year old. At this stage of mimicking people, it works far better than all the others because it tells a little boy's story and uses a flushing toilet sound for praise. My son takes it with him in the bathroom on his own.

Son loves this book!
For some reason my two year old son loves this book. It shows that accidents are okay, and helps him understand the potty training process. Out of all the books I bought to help him learn about going to the potty ON the potty, he likes this one the best.
