They could be written better but you have to remember the age group that these are written for. I think the series is a great buy since it does get my daughter to read. July 20, 2010 39 Clues Series My son age 9 has gone through this series excitedly and always wanting the next book. Excellent & Exciting Read for kids. July 18, 2010 Excellent series These books are well written and are great for tweeners age in particular. Dare I say, they are even educational. The characters in the books are well developed and the various treasure hunts keeps one's interest. Although not quite as imaginative as JK Rowling I still end up reading more when the kids fall asleep June 19, 2010 The 39 Clues Although this series is for children, we as adults are enjoying to story and are amazed at the number of authors who can keep the continuity. My family and I started with Percy Jackson and now here we are with the 39 clues, that keep us all alert waiting for the next book in the series to be available.
