I can't wait to see my one daughter's face when she receives it as a gift for her first baby. I even bought a book for myself to keep at my home. The rhymes are classics and the illustrations are so eye catching. I try to purchase this book as a baby shower gift for my family and friends. I highly recommend this book. April 10, 2008 Very Good Good book. The little kids love this book, and I do too. I first read this book when I was a little kid. This book has all the great stories. January 20, 2008 Richard Scarry's Best Mother Goose Ever I liked the book just fine, but for some reason I ended up with 2 instead of the one I ordered. December 12, 2007 Great presentation of nursery stories So many mother goose out there, and most are very nicely done. This one, however, caught my attention because it utilizes the familiar busytown characters which I feel children so easily identify with as opposed to books with illustrations of children from long ago. Those are great too but this one should not be overlooked. September 23, 2007 Richard Scarry`s Best Mother Goose Ever We had a lot`s of fun reading the book.It contains 50 well known nursery rhymes, has funny pictures and was not too long even for my 2 year old.There are days he wants me to read it twice in a row. September 16, 2007 A Favorite New Baby Gift This beautiful version of Mother Goose first came to my attention 39 years ago as a baby gift for my first child. The bright and clever illustrations capativated her attention as she enjoyed the traditional verses so familiar to many generations of children before her. The book became part of the bedtime ritual for our daughter and her two younger siblings, and we have passed it on as a favorite baby gift to family and countless friends. Because the illustrations feature animal characters, children of all backgrounds can identify with them. Richard Scarry has indeed provided the Best Mother Goose Ever. February 3, 2007 Great Baby Shower/ New Baby Gift We have given this book over and over to family and friends as a baby shower gift/ new baby gift. I purchased this for our kids and they loved it. The pictures are great (animal illustrations) and the rhymes are just the right length for this book to be read at bedtime. November 2, 2006 One of my childhood favorite's This was one of my favorite books when I was young. My favorite was "The Three Little Kittens Who Lost Their Mittens." I don't know what happened to my copy so I'm getting one to keep until I have kids. I'm also getting one for a younger cousin for Christmas. I loved all of Richard Scarry's works, and I plan on getting more of the books I used to have. September 21, 2006 Best nursery rhyme book out there! My children absolutely love this book. I started reading this to my 2 1/2 year old when he was only 6 months old and he now insists upon me reading it every day. Even my younger one enjoys the cadence of the rhymes. The pictures are wonderful and the nursery rhymes not altered to be politically correct. Great addition to every child's library! August 27, 2006 A Childhood Favorite! I had this very same book when I was small. I had received it as a gift on my 4th birthday. I had wished I had saved it, but I had donated it to my church. I was so excited when I found this book on Amazon.com! I couldn't wait to get it in to share with my son who's now nearly 4 himself. And he seems to love it just as much as I did! It's one of his favorites to read at bedtime. The Mother Goose stories are such a classic! But the pictures are what make this Richard Scary book the absolute "Best Mother Goose Book Ever!!!"
