One Fish, Two Fish, Three, Four, Five Fish (Dr. Seuss Nursery Collection) Review
This bouncy counting board book comes with five beads shaped like Seussian fish that toddlers can move across the top of the book as they count along. Based on Dr. Seuss’s celebrated classic, this sturdy board book will be a hit with all the little fish in your family! User Submitted One Fish, Two Fish, Three, Four, Five Fish (Dr. Seuss Nursery Collection) ReviewsOctober 3, 2008 Short but sweet This book is about 10 pages long and only a few words on every page, but my 16 month year old baby likes it. He also likes that he can play with the fish on top of the book. It still kinda teaches about colors and numbers one to five. A Preschooler would probably get bored with this, but just right for babies. September 10, 2008 Another favorite of my 15 month old... Not much text in it, but my daughter loves this book. Very sturdy and she likes to move the fishes across the top. She wants it read over and over again. I think Dr. Seuss just had a fabulous knack for writing well with fun rhyming. June 20, 2008 Wounderful Read! My daughter really loved this book. We challange you to: See the book, buy the book, read the book, share the book! You wont regret it April 24, 2008 Short & cute Although this book is shorter than the orginal, it's still a great book for early readers, or to read to babies December 11, 2007 My daughter loves it. Me? Not so much I didn't quite remember what the original One Fish, Two Fish book was about, but when I read on this board book that it was "inspired by the Dr. Seuss original" I realized that this was someone capitalizing on the Seuss enterprise. Nonetheless, my daughter LOVES LOVES LOVES this book. It's Seussian rhyming makes her giggle when I read it. The other Seuss books don't seem to come in Board books, so it's what I can get for now, so I'm placated. I personally think that it was sloppily put together and some of the words are used repetitively. It's also about two to four pages shorter than most other board books. (Short board books can be agony for parents since it means that your kids will ask you to read it more often. I've read this book maybe 20 times in the span of 5 minutes for her once.) One nice touch, however, are the little plastic fish at the top which I use as a sort of abacus and teach my 18 month old daughter how to count to five by demonstrating with the fish. At the very least, it's a great learning prop. September 12, 2007 My daughter loves this book! Yes, it is a shorter version of the original, but its simple enough to keep her attention and she loves the rhyme of the text. She smiles every night when I pick up the book to read it to her. She just adores it! April 5, 2007 Needs a little more text.. This is a very cute book but... It ends very abruptly and is not quite long enough for my 1 and a half year old. She loves trying to count the fish on top, and trying to say the color names, but just a few more pages would have made this book a lot better. December 29, 2006 Rhyming and funny My toddler loves this one. The illustrations are short and crisp and just simple enough for my 18 month old. I am referring to the board book edition. November 11, 2006 Baby likes it. We really like having the fishes on the top of the book. It helps to count 1-5. August 8, 2006 adorable I had Dr. Seuss' books as a child and want my baby to enjoy them as much as I did. This nursery book is brightly colored, very sturdy and my 5-mo old keeps reaching for it. The plastic fish on the top make noise and baby loves to keep count with them. I'm very very happy with this purchase. I also reccomend other board books form this nursery collection.
