Inspired by her mom's mystery novels, a sixteen-year old Taylor Kelsey wants to be a detective. So when a museum curator puts up reward money for the recovery of a stolen painting, Taylor launches her first investigation.

A few clues later, the investigation takes several unexpected turns, and Taylor realizes the missing painting is only a pawn in a much grander scheme--a scheme of cover-ups, politics, and conundrums that not only baffle her, but threaten her very life.
