Fuzzy Fuzzy Fuzzy!: a touch, skritch, & tickle book (Boynton, Sandra. Boynton Board Books.) Review
Tousle her fuzzy blue hair. Rub her fuzzy pink nose. Skritch the rough brown pad of his paw. Stroke her smooth pink snout. Touch her cool green glasses. Feel his bumpy red wattle. Tickle her soft white tummy. The blue one is crabby. The yellow one is happy. Open the eggs to see what these guys say.... User Submitted Fuzzy Fuzzy Fuzzy!: a touch, skritch, & tickle book (Boynton, Sandra. Boynton Board Books.) ReviewsAugust 9, 2008 It's a good first touchy-feely book It's a little large, so it's great for lapsitters; there isn't too much in the way of vocabulary to muck things up; and the textures are varied. But it's the sort of book that babies and toddlers will tire of quickly, and yes, the two flaps on the back *will* get torn off, so it has to be a supervised book. For more long-term use, I'd suggest the "That's Not My..." series. June 3, 2008 Limited enjoyment This book was all the rage when we first got it for my daughter (at about 6 months). She hadn't yet learned animal names and mainly loved to touch the textures. Now (at 18 months) she says the animal names, but doesn't really bother to touch or feel the book. It's also sparse on words and pages, so it's enjoyment is now limited. We'll probably "put it away" for our future kiddos. May 8, 2008 If at first they don't like it, try, try, again My 13 month old hated this book when I got it in December. He was only 8 months old then though. Now he gets excited and reaches out to touch in exactly the right spots. I will say though, what's the purpose of that last page? It's so silly and doesn't seem to belong at all. May 3, 2008 Fun touch and feel book Fun touch and feel book for young minds and tiny hands. Only thing that is missing is a few more words. January 8, 2008 Sandra Boynton's Fuzzy Fuzzy Fuzzy! Book This is my 2-year old's absolute favorite Sandra Boynton book...and we have a LOT of them! It has great "feely" pages, and the pictures and terminology are great...really fun for the adults reading it to the kids, too! August 14, 2007 My son's first "favorite" book I bought this book for my son when he was about 2 months old without knowing about Sandra Boynton books. It was the first book that he fell in love with when he was about 8 months old, and for months after that he would bring it up to anyone who would read it to him! It is short, but sweet. March 12, 2007 Great for toddlers My son LOVES this book. He has me read it over and over and loves to touch the pages. He thinks it is so funny and loves all of Boynton's book. Great for an active little one. January 3, 2007 Good addition to any baby's collection We purchased this book for our now 5-month-old. I think he's a little young for it yet as he does not initiate the touching of each of the animals to feel their textures. When we assist him, though, his eyes light up at the sensation the soft and rough textures provide to him. My feelings are that this will be a book that will be pulled from the shelves by him many, many times as he gets older and as his knowledge of animals increases as well. September 7, 2006 Short but sweet My 1 year old loves this book. My only wish is that was longer. There are very few pages, but they are classic Boynton. March 26, 2006 LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! My 14 month old daughter just couldn't get past chewing books and tossing them around the room. This is the first book that has really caught her attention. She absolutely LOVES it. We read it again and again and she loves the different textures on each page. We have now bought almost all of Sandra Boynton's books but this one remains a favorite.
