My daughter LOVES this set
This is a great set. We bought it in Costco for $6. I thought that it was a good deal for such a nice set and so many books. My little one (15 months old) loves it and Elmo is her favorite. We have had the set for several months and she always brings these books to her Daddy to read. She also likes carrying the box around since it looks like a little purse. It is definitely a good purchase.

Nice Set - too much Velcro on flap
This is a nice set of books; though I would not say they are the most durable lift the flap books I've seen. Interestingly, the reviews for this set of books are outstanding; yet the reviews for each of the books in the set (when reviewed individually) are terrible. In the individual reviews, people complained of poor quality (non-durable); but in the reviews for the boxed set, people say they are durable. I wondered before I purchased if the publisher upgraded the quality of the books when they were bundled into the set. After receiving them, I do not think that's the case. They are not as durable as I interpreted from some of the boxed set reviews; at the same time, they are not the worst quality on the market. My 22 month old is interested in these books and he has not managed to ruin them after owning them for a week. I think the books will withstand my son's use for the duration that he will be interested in them. The box flap is sealed with velcro. I found the amount of velcro used to be overkill. I think the flap can be bent by the child as he tries to pry open the really sticky velcro. I have a relatively hard time with it and I have full size hands. To mitigate this, I applied some scrap velcro pieces to the strip on the box - thereby cutting down the amount of velcro that can stick.

fun reading and carrier
My 19-month old loves this set. He not only loves the stories, many contain the words he is working on saying. He can point and identify the images, and since he loves Elmo, it is even more engaging. He also loves to pack the books and carry them around by the handle.

Elmo Books set
I purchased this set of books for our 18 month-old grandson, who loves Elmo...he is so taken by these books and always wants to "read" them...they are sturdy & wipe clean, a good buy!

Great for toddlers!
I'm a speech therapist and I've gotten tons of use out of this nice little set of books-- and I've only had them a couple of months. My clients, ages 18 mos-2.5 years, love them. They are great for eliciting the single word and simple phrase responses / comments I'm trying to get from the lang delayed kiddos I work with... the pictures are simple with everyday familiar things, yet still engaging. Definitely got my money's worth.
