November 25, 2008 IDEAL FOR THE PRE-SCHOOLER This board book is just right for introducing your little one to the first, and best, Christmas story. July 18, 2008 My son loves to read this year round! It's July, and we're reading this book daily! My 16 mo. old son loves to pull this book off the shelf and have me read it to him. I wish that the last page read: "I am Baby Jesus asleep in the hay and I am the reason for Christmas day". But, other than that, it's a very cute book and my son loves it. I have a 16th month old boy who loves this book and helped us focus on more than just Santa and presents for the holiday season. Lovely pictures and good text make this a reading pleasure for everyone. October 25, 2007 Baby's First Christmas Book I puchased this book for my 10 month old son. I wanted something to start reading to him before Christmas that would speak to the meaning of the holiday. It is perfect! The story is short but to the point and is able to keep his interest. Each page speaks to a part of the Christmas Story in rhyme, the donkey, the sheep, sheepards, wisemen etc. The last page has a picture of the Baby Jesus and reads "I am the child asleep in the hay and I am the reason for Christmas day." May 11, 2007 Great first Christmas gift for little ones! My youngest son received this book for his first Christmas, and he loved it. It became one of his favorites that we read all the time not just at Christmas. It tells the Christmas story in simple word rhyme and pictures. I bought this book for all my grandchildren's first Christmas. January 19, 2007 Great Christmas Book This a great book for really young children. It is short enough to keep my one year old's attention and the illustrations are attractive. January 16, 2007 great book! This is a nice book for toddler age. My son is 18 months and it has great pictures of the Christmas story. I would recommend this book to anyone. December 15, 2006 Definitely the real story... Simple christmas story.... I like it. It's simple and to the point. However, it does not hold my 1-year-old's attention. Maybe he'll like more when he gets a little older..... January 24, 2006 Good Christmas Intro This adorable book is a very good introduction to the reason we celebrate Christmas. The short, rhyming phrases on each page and beautiful illustrations are sure to capture your little one's interest. I would give it 5 stars except that for a board book it is a little flimsy. My one year old will sit and listen to it several times in a row, and loves to point at the shiny star and different animals in the pictures.
