My Baby Loves this book the most!
When I received the book at first I wasn't impressed. It did not seem as creative or interesting as other Katz books. However, my baby loved it from the beginning. When I read it to her she immediately started mimicking the sounds. Like mama, baba, night night. It got to a point where she correctly guesses what the baby is going to say before flipping it. Now whenever I ask her what does sleepy baby say? She immediatelt says nigh nigh. I highly recommend this one.

My daughter loves it!
I had reservations about this book at first because my daughter is 16 months old (14 months when we bought it) and we're trying to teach her to talk, not say random sounds. But my daughter fell in love with it. Her favorite page is the one that asks "What does the busy baby say?" and then you lift the flap and it says "Uh Oh." She's gotten to the point that she can anticipate which page "Uh Oh" is on and she'll say it before she even lifts the flap. Although the words, like baba (bottle) are a little too young for her, I think this book is still a great book for all babies and toddlers because it helps them to start remembering and anticipating the words on each page. I'm very satisfied with all of the Karen Katz books that we own, but this one is by far my and my daughter's favorite.

Cute book, too "baby-ish" for my 1 year old
I bought several of the books in this series and all were great, however this one was too baby-ish for my one-year old who is learning new words everyday...this books seems to reenforce baby-talk with "ba-ba" for bottle and goo-goo... this might be good for a 6-9month old.

Fun Book
This is a great book to read to your baby, just don't let him or her eat it!!
My daughter loves it and pays attention b/c she recognizes all the "words"!

Extremely dissapointed
My daughter loves where is baby's belly button book so I thought she would enjoy this; but I was wrong. I am returning this book immediatley. We teach our 14 month old to speak correctly and this book promotes made up baby talk. I would highly discourage buying this book if your child is first learning to talk.

Not a good teaching tool.
I bought this book with the idea it will help my child develop a good vocabulary and I was sorely mistaken. I enjoy the other books in this series, so I expected this to be the same. This teaches children to say "goo-goo and ba ba".... I was very disappointed. I plan to give this book away. I have not read it to my child once. He is 21 months old and needs to learn real words, not gibberish like this.

Not as nice as some of her other books
Some of the "baby says" are not realistic. Who's hungry baby says "ba-ba"? I guess my son didn't drink from a bottle long enough, but he always refers to food as "yum-yum". Also, some of the flaps cover the whole page and are very difficult to lift.

I love these books!
My 5 month old son loves this book along with the other books I have by Karen Katz. It keeps his attention and is fun.

Ok book
My son loves the lift-the-flap books, and the book itself is cute. The words in the book feature "gaga" and "googoo", so I didn't really like reading this to my son, as I was trying to teach him real words.

My toddler loves it
She's had it for over a month, and loves to have it read to her again and again. After having it read to her the first dozen or so times, she anticipates what we find when we lift some of the flaps, and loves hearing that she's right. Nice little book.
