User Submitted Time to Pee! ReviewsSeptember 20, 2008 Too much of the illustrations are devoted to words! At the age you potty train (2-3) the kids really respond to simple humor and interesting pictures. My one big problem with this book is that about 75% of each illustration is devoted to presenting each individual word of prose on the page. Even with the humor, there wasnt enough pictoral depiction of the sequence of sensing and doing the business! Not many kids this age are really going to focus on each word in the caption so I think the illustration allocation is totally off. June 4, 2008 Amazing!! We have been struggeling with our 3 1/2yo daughter to get her potty trained. I read the reviews on this book and was quite impressed by the other mother's comments so I said "what the heck". AND for the price I could not beat it. Received the book in a timely fashion. The description of the books condition was very accurate. I would use this seller again. I was not to impressed with the book BUT I gave the book 5 stars because my daughter loved the book. It was read everytime she sat on the potty. In a matter of 3 days she was trained. Praise God!! Finally my last one potty trained. Even though I was not impressed with the book I would recommend it to mother's because for some reason kids just get it. September 1, 2007 Another cute potty training book that really doesn't train much. I gave it three stars because the drawing are cute and at least it's a fun way of getting the message across that when it's time to "go", at least go to the bathroom. However, this book really doesn't deal much with the grim mechanics that all we parents have to teach our children about. Most of the content is about getting the child in the bathroom, but there are only four pages dealing with what the bathroom is all about and exactly what to do there. Another book full of cuteness that puts almost the entire burden of training back on the parent. July 11, 2007 TIME TO PEE! Wish I had purchased this sooner. My grandson was already on the home stretch so the chart and stickers were useless. However, we did read it five times the first day and again the second day. May 13, 2007 okay book purchase My 2-year-old and I think this book is okay. The art work is a little hard to follow for me, although my son doesn't seem to have a hard time. He likes the poetry of it. It isn't a great potty training book, per say, but nevertheless, an okay purchase. One part I don't like is pushing the standing up to pee for boys, I prefer to start him out sitting and progress to that once the actual going in the potty 100% of the time is established. March 9, 2007 Time to Pee! We love Mo Willems, so I was really excited to buy a potty training book from her series. We were a little disappointed with the content...its a little confusing. It probably would have been better if she made two gender appropriate books as opposed to just one book. However, the sticker chart that is included inside the cover was a big plus. My daughter really looked forward to placing stickers on it each time she used the restroom. If nothing else it was great for the positive reinforcement factor....if you are a little bit crafty, you could probably make your own sticker chart at home and skip the book entirely. March 8, 2007 love it my toddler loves this book. it is cute and fun to read. January 19, 2007 My daugher was unimpressed I purchased this book for my 3year old daughter, who can go to the bathroom on her own, but needs reminders. I thought I could use the iconic "mouse" in the book as a connection for her to remember to go. (The mice hold up signs.) She not only didn't get the "ah hah" message, she is not at all interested in the book. She loved Mo Willems other stories and she showed interest in other "potty" training books that I bought her, but this one was a zero for her. Oh well, now that I bought it I'll keep reading it periodically to see if it helps. Be sure to get a good price if you are thinking of buying this one. November 4, 2006 Even Better Than Time to Say Please...is that possible? My son mastered the use of "please" and now we are on our way to successful potty training thanks to Time to Pee! This is a wonderful book for parents and toddlers to enjoy together. Parents, you will not get bored reading this one over and over. June 29, 2006 1-2-3 Pee My two-year old son loves this book. He isn't potty trained yet, but we're working on it. This book has certainly helped. When he uses the potty, we say 1-2-3 Pee!, which is from the book. And he's thrilled about getting a sticker for the enclosed sticker chart each time he goes. We're Mo fans! We also love "Time to Say Please" by Mo Willems. For more Time to Pee! reviews click here.
