There was an old Lady
The cover said a CD was enclosed which was the song. There was no CD. The illustrations with the hole in the middle are cute.

Fun, Fun, Fun
Talk about fun: I first read this to my first kid 14 years ago and I just finished reading it for the first time to my third kid, now 3. The 14 year old loves it today as much as the 3 year old (oh, and the middle kid loved it, too: don't want her feeling all 'Jan Brady' on me!). Who doesn't want to sing such a funny song with their kids? At 3 they ask "Why did she swallow a [insert animal from whatever page you are trying to finish]?" and at 14 they're laughing at the punchline as heartily as any joke they've ever heard. I love this book!

There Was an Old LAdy
I love the CD. I use the book with 4 and 5 year olds in our Day Care. It is excellent to teach Real & Make Believe, and sequencing. The book format is really too small to use with a group. So I have made picture cards of the animals to use with the CD and sequencing. This would be OK when reading with one or two children sitting next to you. You could use it with older children to illustrate it and make a big book that they could use when singing the song.

Story Book
Excellent book, if you want to be personally involved with your child,
he/she will be asking you to sing the rhyme with them day and night.
