This book is so very cute! My kids got a real kick out of the story and the "spooky" things getting all ready for Halloween, while the kids were trick or treating. Not too spooky and FUN! November 23, 2008 Excellent choice for pre-schoolers This story was perfect for my twin toddlers class. The pictures are great- it is fun to read and all of the children loved having their own copy. The twist on "Twas the night before Christmas" and the cadence to the book makes it an easy book to read before bedtime. September 30, 2008 another halloween favorite My 4 year old is OBSESSED with halloween, so trust me - we've read just about every halloween picture book and early chapter book that we can get our hands on. "The Night Before Halloween", is told in the same rhyming verse as "The Night Before Christmas" story; and follows the monsters as they prepare for Halloween. The verse is easy for kids to follow and the illustrations are colorful and detailed. This book has become a quick favorite for us to read at bedtime. I would absolutely recommend adding this to your Halloween book list. Also check out "Room on the Broom" by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler - this is another of our favorites this year. September 18, 2008 Cute Book! This book has a very cute story. My 3 year old niece will love it! Her birthday is right before Halloween :)...Although, I thought the price was a little high for a short story paperback. But it was b/c of the added shipping costs (which are slightly over-priced-$4 dollars). But it was worth it. Because I looked at Borders and it was over $20 dollars compared to $8. So, thank you. November 17, 2007 Cute Twist on an Old Favorite I read this aloud to a class of first graders and they enjoyed the fun ryhming text and colorful illustrations. They were familiar with the similar Christmas story, so were interested in seeing how the Halloween version would play out. My very young grandson loves the story and pictures, too! October 30, 2007 The Night Before Halloween Who can forget "The Night Before Christmas"? Well, now you can have the same amount of fun with "The Night Before Halloween". It's a delightful rhyming book that guides children through fun ghost, goblins and little children preparing for trick or treating. My little boy loved it. We've read it over and over, and it'll be a great book we pull out every Halloween! October 29, 2007 Love It This book is so beautiful to look at and to read. I wanted to order more but decided to start with 1 and see how I liked it. I can't wait to share this book with my nephew for Halloween. He loves books and this one I'm sure will be one of his favorites. Will definitely order more. October 19, 2007 My son's (and my) favorite Halloween book! My 3 year old son and I absolutely love this book. It is our favorite Halloween book (and we have quite a few). It has the essence of Halloween from the monster perspective as well as a child's trick-or-treating perspective down pat. November 10, 2006 This is a great to read to your children My 5-year old twins loved this book, and wanted to read it for weeks before Halloween. It is very easy to read, since it follows the format of "The Night Before Christmas." That familiarity also made it fun for the kids. They are now looking forward to starting "The Night Before Thanksgiving," though I am trying to wait until it gets a little closer to the actual day.
