The Little Soul and the Sun: A Children's Parable Adapted from Conversations With God Review
User Submitted The Little Soul and the Sun: A Children's Parable Adapted from Conversations With God ReviewsDecember 2, 2008 Best Book EVER!! This is my favorite book in the universe... we bought copies for all our grandchildren! November 26, 2008 The little soul and the sun:A children's parable adapted from Conversations with God This is a profound and simple story that will prove to be a blessing in any one's life, ages 1 to 111. Simply beautiful and touching. November 23, 2008 Learning forgiveness, the greatest gift to yourself... This children's book is for anyone who cannot forgive the person or persons in their life that hurt them the most. As a psychotherapist, many clients come in with a lifetime filled with a hurting history. This stops them and you from experiencing this life, NOW, as you should be. I have had clients make amazing changes in how they view what has happened to them, by reading this parable. This parable was originally mentioned to Neale in his CWG Book, 3rd volume. Even if you have read that, do not miss this full expanded parable. When you have read it, pass it to someone else on their journey. If you learn to "forgive" in this lifetime, you have learned one of the greatest lessons to experience here. Holly K. Klein LSCSW/LCSW October 15, 2008 precious Both story and illustrations are beautiful. A story for all time...for all ages...for all human kind...as we continue our individual journies while visiting Planet Earth. October 11, 2008 No Need to Forgive Once I began to truly understand that everything that happens in life is consciousness, it became clear to me that 'there was no one but me." and that my life was a reflection of my thoughts, beliefs and feelings. This book says it better than any sermon or book I've read in a long time. Yes, it's a story for children, but much like the Velveteen Rabbit, it will become a classic for adults as well. A must read - and worth pondering. [...] August 22, 2008 Important lessons for kids This modern-day parable for children touches on forgiveness and faith. We are also reminded that we are all special but that "special" does not mean "better". We are all special but equal. We need more books like this for children that inspire and remind them of who they can be. July 4, 2008 next time, more loving pictures please thank you for this lovely story. it would have been quite loving and kind if the illustrator drew pictures of all sorts of children: native american, chinese, japanese, indian, south american, african american, african, and of course, caucasian/white. but instead the pictures are only of caucasian/white children. i'm sure the author, publishers, etc. intend for this lovely book to be read by children of any ethnic background yet (once again) the illustrator drew pictures of children of white skin. i almost didn't buy this book but decided the message is so enriching that i will instead xerox the text only pages and "redesign" the book to show only pictures of candles (so my children are not distracted by the (once again) pictures of only whilte children). i send you my love and blessings.... June 22, 2008 good message May be a little over the heads of very young children but still a good message May 27, 2008 A transforming perspective As a counselor who also leads classes and retreats, I have found this book to be a powerful tool in helping people to transform their perspectives on themselves and their relationships. Whether I read it aloud to a retreat group or assign it to be read individually, I usually get the similar response of tears of relief, freedom and love. The artwork is a beautiful complement to the beautiful story. I believe it is a "must read" for anyone who is still stuck in the victim game. May 16, 2008 Love it! I love this story. I have given this book to all of my friends, I think it is great for adults!! I pull it out and read it whenever I start to lose faith in people and it always gets me back on track! Thanks Neale!
