The Little Giant Book of Optical Illusions Review
Bats and birds that look like faces. Skulls that pop up on anything white. Three donkeys with three ears be-tween them. And walls that disappear. Relax, they’re only optical illusions. Examine thousand-year-old drawings, find out about closure, perspective, and “the Rubin vase”, and how these tools can untangle the tricks found in this volume. User Submitted The Little Giant Book of Optical Illusions ReviewsMay 17, 2007 Great little book - great value My seven year old hasn't put this book down since he received it as a gift. It is just right for small hands, car rides, and waiting at the restaurant. Some of the illusions were familiar to me, but many were not. There are about 300 total, with clues/answers in the back of the book. May 10, 2007 Keeps you busy This book is cute, and kept my visiting family members occupied for some time. It was fun to read and look through whenever. March 22, 2003 Your resource for optical illusions This book would have got five stars from me if only it had been a little bigger. This book can fit in your purse or your pocket. It is small and chunky. I have always been intrigued by optical illusions. I wanted a book that would not bore me easily. This book suceeded in keeping my interest. The illusions in the book are diverse- some old some new. I guarantee that most will mess with your mind. This book is highly recommended to those like myself who are fascinated with optical illusions. However, if you are looking for a book with a good size to it look elsewhere. This book would be a great gift for someone. September 15, 1999 Hours of Fun! Highly recommended! My family really enjoyed this book! There were are large number of variations on a theme that were new and interesting to us. One thing we really liked was the fact that the book had been done as a mix-no chapters on various categories of illusions. The children kept coming to us as they discovered the secrests of the numerous illusions and puzzle pictures. The book has kept them amazed and amused for days, in fact they don't want to put it down. The book is a great size to take on a long car ride. The enjoyment we have received from this book has made it an excellent value. This is a great gift for others, or for your own family.
