Klutz Book of Paper Airplanes (Klutz) Review
User Submitted Klutz Book of Paper Airplanes (Klutz) ReviewsNovember 30, 2008 The best airplane book we've found This is the greatest paper airplane book either. My not-yet 5 son got into paper airplanes from a friend at day care. We tried a couple paper airplane books but gave up in collective family frustration. Then my son found this in a science center book shop. They do an excellent of showing each fold very clearly, and also include pictures of the plane at each step. Not only are we able to make planes now, but the instructions and descriptions are so visibly clear that he can make them on his own. It also includes an index at the front listing all the planes and their difficulty. But my son pretty much only likes to do the hard ones, so knowing they're hard doesn't necessarily help! September 9, 2008 Klutz Book of Paper Airplanes A big sucess. We had a family reunion and it kept 6 boys happy for many hours in addition to tiring them out as they ran up and down the stairs from a loft area. Good instructions plus the proper paper. September 6, 2008 interesting and fun for kids that love hands-on activities interesting and fun for kids that love hands-on activities; easy and challenging at the same time... July 21, 2008 The BEST Paper Airplane Book I am a Science teacher I designed a Science Camp for the school district I work for. One of the days was devoted to the science of flight and we used paper airplanes as models. Originally, I had purchased 4 different paper airplane books (including this one). But, when the time came around and it was 'Paper Airplane Day' during our camp, this was the book I used. The other books were ok, but many of the planes seemed to be very complex to make, many also involving irregular sizes of paper. I also try to keep my Science lessons simple - I wanted something the students could take home and start making right away. Not only did the Klutz book offer great, easy to make airplanes, but it also contained easy to understand explanations of the principles of flight (as well as some group games to play with paper airplanes. I HIGHLY recommend this book and I give it a solid teacher endorsement! May 8, 2008 Paper airplanes Great product. Kids have fun making special paper airplanes. Especilly good for kids who have enjoyed putting Lego together. April 12, 2008 For the novice This book is awesome. I never have been able to fold paper airplanes before that actually flew. With this book, it is so easy and they really fly. I now buy this book for my girls to give as birthday presents. Awesome find. January 30, 2008 Great book and great supplies Purchased this on a business trip and it's a big hit with my 7 (girl) and 5 (boy) year olds. Really great planes that my daughter can build herself. My son has trouble with the directions, but an adult should find it pretty simple. Be prepared to fold a 'fleet of planes' (since the fast ones get busted up when they whack a wall - or get chewed on by a younger sibling). The papers provided are really good and they proide a good amount - but I have to look for more. January 13, 2008 My son loves this My oldest boy who is 10 loves playing with this. His friends all have the book as well and they make dozens of them! January 8, 2008 I have never seen paper airplanes go so far! This book is AWESOME!!! My kids, (boys and girls) have had so much fun with it. And I have to admit I have too. I never knew that paper airplanes could go so far!! I have always made them and the second that they leave your hand they go straight down and do a nose dive into the ground. They explain in the front of the book why and what to do to stop that, and it works! This is the second book that we have bought by Klutz and they are both awesome! Also try the tissue paper flowers book, it has made our lives all more colorful. You won't be disappointed in these books. They work well when you aren't satisfied just buying another video game. And they really help you use your brain and your hands which is great for kids. January 4, 2008 Delighted! We got this book today for my twin four year olds and as an adult who loved to make paper airplanes as a kid I opened the book and started looking through it at night when the kids were sleeping. Wow! I wish this book had been available when I was a kid - not only are the instructions great for making paper airplanes - but they give you cool looking paper (a variety) with the book! I would recommend that anyone who wants to teach their kids how to make paper airplanes get this book immediately. It's fantastic. For more Klutz Book of Paper Airplanes (Klutz) reviews click here.
