Learn how important the holes in your nose are in this wacky and informative book. We breathe and smell through the holes in our noses and they come in lots of different sizes. Grandad's nose holes are much bigger than mine or my sisters'. But it is not just humans who have holes in their noses. Lots of animals have holes in their noses too, and dolphins have their holes on the top of their head. Bet you don't know how bogies are made and why you sneeze - Aachoo!
User Submitted The Holes in Your Nose Reviews January 10, 2007 Breaking Preschool Habits!! This book has been helpful with my current preschool nose pickers. Some of them have cut down on their habit. Books go along way in reinforcing a teacher's opinion!
April 9, 2005 Must Have!!!! Every child loves these books! I even read this one to my sons Kindergarden class, I never heard them so quiet!!! It is lovely and geared for kids just learning all about crazy things our bodies do!!!!!
November 1, 2003 Hits and misses with this one... Overall if you liked *Everyone Poops* you'll probably like this one....just not nearly as much.I have to say that while the whole family really enjoyed *everyone poops* which was innovative and funny in a laugh out loud sort of way this one kind of smacked of "how can i do something similar again?" The jokes are somewhat similar in that they are of the body humor variety but with this book they are more of the gross-out variety as opposed to the innovative sort. That said, that kind of subtlty tends to get lost on children. My son found this book just as much of a hoot as the poop book. His sense of humor isnt, shall we say, all that sophisticated and *going for the gross-out* in his case might be considered a plus. So while I, as a mom, didn't find this to be anywhere near as good as the other book, I think my son enjoyed it as much and since it was a book for him, I have to say that ultimately it was a good purchase.
August 17, 2001 gross "Everyone Poops' is a tasteful classic. "The Holes In Your Nose" is not. We were given it as a gift, but I put it aside after only one reading, saying my kid could read it to himself once he got old enough, but I didn't have to suffer through reading it aloud ever again. We don't need to read about someone picking his nose and eating it! Disgusting, and not worthy of being promoted alongside 'Everyone Poops', as it so often is.
April 22, 2001 go nose holes!!! we totally loved this book. it was so honest and refreshing! ESPECIALLY the part where the dude FARTS (and says BRRRROMMMM)!!! the illustrations were delightful. oh, and- HAVE YOU CLEANED YOUR HOLES TODAY? (i have). =) thank you, and enjoy your flight into the land of the NOSEholes. !
June 28, 2000 Goofy book a huge hit with my 1.5-year-old I bought this book for my 1.5 year old daughter on a lark after she put a pea up her nose. I figured it would be good for a chuckle, and I was right - it definitely finds humor in nose holes. The strange part is, it has become my daughter's top #1 favorite. I have no idea why - it doesn't have a plot or any characters, but she just adores it. Go figure. I give this book a strong recommendation not just because it cracks me up, but because she loves it. Also, I don't know if it's a coincidence, but she hasn't put any peas in her nose since.
May 9, 2000 achievable goals With books like this, parents can now at least set achievable goals for their offspring. No more muddling with that annoying and cloying artsy literature and stuff.
April 7, 2000 educational story I first came across this book at Toys R Us. I thought it was amusing and informative. We read the book in the store and decided to get it for our unborn baby as it's first book. I feel it is important for children to understand were things come from. I myself have often wondered about where all the snot and boogers come from. I find it refreashing that someone has finally written a book about such things.
February 8, 2000 My 18 month LOVES this book! I can't believe it -- I had this book in a drawer in her bookcase for reading when she's a little older, but she found it, and ever since we have to read it 2-3 times daily! (For now, I just read the bold type, and will leave the detail for when she's a little older). She loves the illustrations and the animals. Yes, it's gross, but it is hilarious. We have the others in the series (which she hasn't found yet!), and I look forward to sharing those with her.
