They loved the illustrations, and the text, and would correct me if I dared skip a word. July 4, 2008 Super Terrific As a former elementary teacher and now a grandmother, I buy and enjoy a lot of children's books. I found this one by chance on line at Amazon, bought two for my grandsons (3 and 4). I was so impressed I even showed it to my husband who also thought it was just great for young children who enjoy super heroes and are learning their ABCs. This book is funny, colorful, and original. I highly recommend it. I may even buy another copy for my own collection of children's books. March 2, 2008 Great for superhero loving kids Funny text and fantastic illustrations. This is a great book for any boys or girls who love superheroes. Great for pre-readers and early readers. November 2, 2007 Super Hero ABC Excellent alphabet book for young boys ages 4 up. They love all of the super heros. October 5, 2007 Visually engaging read I love the superheroes throughout. It is so clever and a great way to get my 3yr old more comfortable with the alphabet. This is a favorite book. This has become the book I give as gifts. October 3, 2007 review My son loves this book. We rented it from the library a while ago and now everytime we go there he wants to get the same book. I got it for his birthday and he loves it. If you have a little boy, you should get this book. February 28, 2007 Superhero author McLeod has entranced my 3 year old boy and my 6 year old girl. He wears capes, she draws more heroes. I read this book to students in K-3rd grade with great response from students. "I'm him!" "Ooh, gross!" We learned new vocabulary too. The teachers all asked to order copies for their classrooms. February 24, 2007 Kids really respond to this boook I used this book to begin my daughter's 5th birthday party and all the kids- both girls and boys absolutely loved it. They really responded to the book's imaginative characters and details, especially the gross and silly ones. After reading the book together we had a make-your-own superhero mask and cape activity and the kids were totally fired up for it. I highly recommend this book! January 10, 2007 Great for girls and boys! I bought this for a friend whose son loves all super heros and ended up reading it to my 4 year old daughter over and over- it's really cute and made laugh out loud-- November 30, 2006 Great, fun book -- for kids and parents! Terrific illustrations! The other reviewers have already written a lot about what's so great about this book. To keep it simple: it's fun and, as a mother, it's a breath of fresh air to read a child's book that makes me laugh out loud. Danger Man doesn't have a dog.....that just cracks me up. So does "Captain Cloud.....he's so cool" and "Firefly.....She has fat feet". And wouldn't you just sometimes love to be able to vomit on people that bug you the way that Vomit Man can? (Yeah, OK, I know one of the reviewers thought Vomit Man was gross.....I guess I've spent too much time changing diapers and potty training my kid to be grossed out by an illustration!)
