Six by Seuss: A Treasury of Dr. Seuss Classics Review
User Submitted Six by Seuss: A Treasury of Dr. Seuss Classics ReviewsNovember 2, 2008 Kids love it!!! This is a great book for anyone looking to buy Dr.Seuss books. Why buy 1 book when you get this one for less and it has 6 long stories. June 25, 2008 Six by Seuss: A treasury of seuss classics Quality book. Excellent for baby gift. The illustrations were exactly as I remembered. April 21, 2008 Suess rocks I really like this book as the price was a great deal. Of course I think its better to have the individual books but I couldn't resist the price and its not too bulky for reading, although I wouldn't want the book to be any bigger. January 7, 2008 Classic This book is great. I was so pleased to find it. I had bought one 16 years ago for my children and bought this one for a great-nephew. I hope I can find it for many years to come. December 10, 2007 Format is awkward This collection was appealing in the store, but after a while, it seemed awkward to heft around this enormous book instead of a slim volume containing a single story. When you've got a squirming toddler at hand, the book gets heavy and inconvenient. I have no complaints with the stories themselves, which are charming and funny. In the end, however, I would have been happier if I had bought the individual volumes. November 17, 2007 A Lifetime Favorite My 16 year old still talks about this children's book...in fact, she referenced it in an AP English paper she wrote at the beginning of this school year. The whimsical drawings, interesting stories and sing song narrative make it a favorite of children and parents. We still have our copy purchased when my daughter was a toddler. July 1, 2005 fabulous bargain Dr. Suess has created a legacy that can only be called fantastic. I remember as child loving his stories and the uniquely intimate style of his floppy-looking drawings. Now that I am a father, I get to relive a lot of that when I read to my kids. But I see more now: his books have plenty of wonderful messages, some of them moral, some social, some ecological. It is really brilliant stuff, and instructive. My 6-year old son just can't ge enough of the Lorax. Beyond the fact that it is stimulating for him to read, he is wondering about the messages in it. It makes me happy and gratified to watch his mind develop. THere is no better source, I think. But he likes the other stories as well, and has plenty of questions about their themes as well. In a time when a single kids book might cost $15, this is indeed a good investment. Warmly recommended. January 4, 2005 Six by Seuss: A Treasury of Dr. Seuss Classics REVIEW This is a wonderful children's book. I loved it. It is a great way for level one new readers to use phonetics. I would reccomend!
