(Sesame Street® Elmos World(TM)) ReviewsOctober 18, 2007 Elmos world puppies I bought this book for my 18 mo old and he loved the fact that there were puppies in this book, he got excited each time he lifted the flaps. This is one of the books that gets read over and over again! October 9, 2007 Puppies! Great book for kids. I already bought two and plan to buy more to share. July 23, 2007 Follows Elmo's World format. - mostly Cute short book showing that puppies need food, water, exercise and sleep. It also shows what dogs are feeling sometimes. The book mostly follows the format of the show where Elmo asks Dorothy and the reader questions. But, if you have a big Elmo's World fan then you will also be explaining where Mr. Noodle is after Elmo asks Dorothy a question. I also recommend "Where is Elmo's Blanket? and Elmo's Big Book" They are very interactive lift the flap books. September 23, 2006 my16 month old daughter's favorite By far my daughter's favorite book. She is 16 months and this is perfect for her. She does LOVE Elmo and puppies, so this is the perfect combination. The flaps are big, so she can do them herself which is great. The story isn't really all that great, but she loves the pictures so much that the story doesn't matter. Of course, it gets a lot of wear and tear just as any lift the flap book does, but I am amazed at how well it has held up. May 11, 2006 Toddlers love Elmo and puppies My 21 month old son loves this book. The flaps are nice and big and easy for him to open. It is a fun, short book with vibrant pictures. The book isn't going to last forever because the pages are fairly thin, but it's a fun book for the price. February 24, 2006 How could you go wrong with doggies??? Great one for a 15 month old, especially if they like dogs, quick read and a "door" to open on each page. It took us a LONG time to get past the first page though since we had to really study the puppies. It was a while before she realized there were doggies on the other pages too since she loves to look at doggies so much. August 21, 2005 Elmo's Puppies make my grandson happy This book is wonderful. My 16 month old grandson loves Elmo. The pop ups are easy for him to use and he brings the book over to me to read to him over and over again. October 24, 2004 my son loves this to pieces, literally This is a charming little book for an Elmo fan and dog lover (as my toddler is). He adores turning the pages and lifting the flaps and seeing familiar images like Elmo, Dorothy the goldfish, and other habitues of Elmo's crayon-rendered domain. The narrative is pretty much what you would hear Elmo say on a segment of Sesame Street. However -- like all the books in the Elmo's World series, these are pretty flimsy, much lighter cardboard than most board books or even other lift-the-flap books, so despite my best efforts at supervision and gentle guidance, my son has ripped off most of the flaps in this book and the other Elmo's World books we have. So the book is now not so much fun and the small pieces of cardboard present a pretty serious choking hazard. I have tried repairing them, but glue doesn't work very well and tape presents an even worse choking risk. At the price, I consider the books in this series semi-disposable and haven't minded that they only last a month or two. I won't be buying any more, though, simply because there are so many better board books out there -- superior in construction/durability, tactile experiences, illustration, and story/language development. May 10, 2001 Flaps are great for infants and toddlers Great book. My son, 11 months, loves Elmo and loves this book. The flaps are laminated and so are great for little hands. he loves lifting up to see the puppies. September 25, 2000 Great Book for Toddlers This book is a must have for any parent of a toddler that loves Elmo and also loves dogs! My 15 month old can't get enough of this book!
