Potty Time with Elmo (Liittle Sound Book) Review
User Submitted Potty Time with Elmo (Liittle Sound Book) ReviewsOctober 9, 2008 Cute, Fun, Educational & Very Sturdy I bought this for my granddaughter, she loves Elmo so this book is the right one to teach her about going potty like a big girl, she loves to push the different buttons so she can listen to the sounds they make, a few of them make her laugh. It's a great way to learn & have fun at the same time! She loves it & so do I. September 16, 2008 Doesn't even show Elmo on the potty My 18-month daughter loves pressing the buttons to make the sounds, but I agree that it doesn't work for potty-training because it doesn't even show Elmo on the potty at all. I can't say to her, "See, this is how Elmo sits on the potty when he needs to go. Can you do it too?" For those who find the noise too loud, try putting a sticker over the speaker, and it'd decrease the volume quite a bit. September 8, 2008 So adorable! This book is so cute & both of my babies love it! You really can't go wrong with Elmo! This is a definite must for those starting the potty training process! September 2, 2008 Fun Book! Potty Time with Elmo (Liittle Sound Book) My son enjoys the book 'Potty Time with Elmo.' It has many fun sounds and it's a great book to read to little ones who are learning to potty! August 7, 2008 My little Elmo lover LOVES it! I'm not sure it's helped him understand potty training any better but my son LOVES elmos and loves this book :) May 21, 2008 Eh. My daughter is a big Elmo fan and every few days she'll want to read this. I can't say it's made a huge difference in her training, though--the Elmo Potty DVD is much better and has definitely made a difference. This book is OK for a few bucks, but it's not going to make or break your potty training success. And yes, the sounds are really loud. If those types of noises/toys irritate you then skip this one. April 16, 2008 My daughter loves this book! I bought this book for my daughter when she was 16 months old. She loves the sounds and the photos. And until now that she is already 20 months, she still reads it and manages to turn the pages while pressing the buttons, too. April 14, 2008 Elmo Potty Book My two-year-old loves this book. He isn't potty trained - and this book isn't helping, but he loves it none-the-less. This book drives me nuts. The sound effects are very annoying and volume is a little loud. I try to hide it so he won't pick this one - but he always manages to find it. Elmo tries to teach his doll, Baby David, how to use the potty. The story is a little vague and sound effects and button pictures are just average. The "fish" soap is just weird - I know my two-year-old does not get that it's supposed to be soap. However, the end where Elmo shows his drawer full of big boy underwear is good. My son likes to pick out his favorite pair and then talk about underwear, so I guess that's a step in the right direction. I hope.... February 26, 2008 good book, but Don't rely on this book to train your toddler, but my 2-3/4 loves it. I got it when he was two to get him ready for "the potty". He was more interested in the buttons than the story. Still is. Also, as with the majority of these types of books, the sounds are LOUD. I put tape over the speaker and the sounds are still loud to me. Plus it is long, so if your toddler is not into long stories, this is not for them. February 13, 2008 Hooray for Underpants Elmo and his doll, Baby David, have been a large part of our potty training success. We have three learning tools from this series, the book, the DVD and the Elmo doll that sits on the potty. Our daughter quickly linked the three and discovered that with Elmo, using the potty is not quite as scary as before. With this book, her favorite buttons are the toilet paper roll that spins and the toilet flushing. She pushes both of those on every page. And, though it is not a book about shapes and things, she loves to ask which pair of underpants at the end has what shape on them- "Is this the pair with the rockets- no, those are duckies!" She has a lot of fun with this book. For more Potty Time with Elmo (Liittle Sound Book) reviews click here.
