Pooh's First Day of School (My Very First Winnie the Pooh) Review
User Submitted Pooh's First Day of School (My Very First Winnie the Pooh) ReviewsMarch 13, 2001 Pooh's First Day of School Pooh's First Day of School is written by Kathleen W. Zoehfeld and illustrated by Robbin Cuddy. ISBN: 0-590-28160-7. It is age appropriate for, baby to preschool. My copy is a 32 page paperback, however, it can be purchased in hardcover (ISBN: 0786831251 for $9.56). The book is a part of Disney's, My First Winnie the Pooh series. It was first printed by Scholastic in 1998. This review was written by Sarah, a Mansfield University Elementary/Early Childhood Education Major. Review The pictures in this book are very good, they are colorful and inviting for young children. The books' print is big enough that a young child may want to join in with the reading. The story is a quick read. Christopher Robin has his first day of school tomorrow and Pooh and his friends wonder what school is all about. Christopher Robin sets up a pretend school in the Hundred Acre Woods to help explain what they learn about, recess, and lunch time. This would be a great book to read to a child starting school to ease their nerves. I enjoyed this book and would recommend this to teachers or parents of newly schooled children. If you enjoy this book you may want to look into, Pooh's Neighborhood, or Pooh Plays Doctor found in the same series by Scholastic.
