I Was So Mad (Look-Look) Review
User Submitted I Was So Mad (Look-Look) ReviewsNovember 28, 2007 book review My 2 year old son loves this book. We read it over and over. This book is laid out for toddlers to follow easily. Simple, catchy phrases and great illustration. We have another Mercer Mayer Little Critter book that he likes a lot as well so we plan to purchase more for Christmas! July 16, 2007 For a 3-year-old or a 20-year-old I purchased this book for my grandnephew that is 3 years old and has a very quick little temper. My son who is now 20 grew up with Mercer Mayer books and he enjoyed reading this short story too. The next thing I knew I was looking through boxes for all of his old books from childhood. Mercer Mayer clicks with kids. April 9, 2007 Mercer Mayer is a Genius He writes so that kids and parents both get it. His irony is hillarious and the kids totally enjoy that their feelings are portrayed. LOVE it. March 11, 2006 Excellent Children's series! Little Critter is not having a great day but by the end of the book it becomes better for him. These are great read-along books for your budding readers. I have at least two whole sets of this series as my children plan to pass them onto their children to read. February 24, 2006 Delightful I am a Nanny and this series of books are some of my childrens' favorites. January 26, 2006 Mercer Mayer books are wonderful! Not only does my three year old absolutely adore these books, but all four of my daughters enjoyed them as small children. I've found them to be charming and well drawn, each one dealing with a normal part of life for a child. This one shows the child critter being mad because everything (destructive) he tries to do his parents tell him no, but when he asks to go play, he's allowed to do that...which makes him AND his parents happy. :) October 20, 2004 I Still Have This Book This was my favorite book when I was little. One of my most memorable childhood memories is sitting with my dad while he read it to me. He would do such a great job of expressing Little Critter's emotions! This book would never get old. It's hardcover, and I am very happy that it's still intact today even from my teeth marks on the corners! I store it in the bottom of my dresser so I can read it to my son (due Jan-25-04). I think about Little Critter when I become so mad today and remember that there's no need to give up! I hope to keep this book in my family for years. November 21, 2003 Great Book to Read To Toddler My husband and I love to read "I Was so Mad" along with our 21 month old daughter. The short story easily depicts the everyday frustrations that little ones run into and their feeling "mad" when they can not do what they want but then finding an alternative that does make them happy. Our daughter loves the pictures as well as helping us read along and say "So Mad" at the end of many of the pages. All in all- it's one of our favorites. October 3, 2003 I was so mad I read the book I was so mad By Mercer Mayer and it was about a little critter named critter. He wanted to have fun inside the house but everything he wanted to do was agenst the rules. He got mad and decited to run away. As he was walking he saw some friends that wanted to play baseball and he went to ask his mom and she said yes.Over all it was a good book and ive read it many of times and i will read it whenever i can.It teaches kids that you may not like the rules but if u go by them you will have fun.ages 3-8 December 14, 2000 I Was So Mad by Mercer Mayer I think I Was So Mad, along with the other Mercer Mayer books, is a great book that kids can relate to and learn from. In this book, Little Critter espresses his feelings of frustration and of being angry in a way that most children do in at least one point of time in their life. I enjoyed reading Mercer Mayer books as a child and even now i can't help picking up one of these simple books to read when i see one. For more I Was So Mad (Look-Look) reviews click here.
