On a beautiful fall afternoon after the rain, a young boy and his father go for a walk in the park. As the sun begins to set and father and son return home, the boy says goodnight to all his favorite and familiar friends - the squirrels, the deer, the mouse, and the cats. As he prepares for bed, the boy says goodnight to his stuffed bears, his mom and dad, and most especially to his Creator. Vividly illustrated with jewel-tone paintings, Good Night God is a restful and reassuring bedtime story.

Good Focus
I liked this book primarily because it helps to teach children about God. It also helps them to learn to be thankful for creation and for simple things. It's a good book to end the day with.

Great Attention Grabber!
Bought this to read to our two grandsons ages 5-1/2 and 3-1/2. They love the book and ask to read it every time they come over. The youngest likes to embellish the story as we read it pointing out the various things in each picture. Great illustrations for the young!

Soothing and Sweet
My 2 1/2 year old LOVES this book and I even catch her "reading" it herself. I actually sing the book as a lullaby and it never fails, she falls asleep to it every time!!! Great way to end the day with your little one!

Great art, simple but sweet.
Great good night story for ages 3-5. Little boy says good night to God, the birds, the cat etc. Very short book--not more than one line per page, all rhyming. My daughter loved the colorful pictures.

Making memories with this book
My daughter received this book as a gift for her 1st birthday. We started reading the book to her each night as part of her bedtime routine. Both myself and my husband love this book. Holly Bea writes a simple rhyme that's creative and perfect for bedtime. My daughter loves to point to the tree, the moon, the birds, the ducks in the bath scene. The illustrations have a wonderful sort of abstract feel to them. At the end of the day, we are praising God for all the wonderful things he has created as we say are prayers. This book says it perfectly!

Favorite new baby gift
Once again I am giving this book to the parents of a new born. The sentiments are sweet and have a religious feel without being denominational. The illustrations are beautiful.

Religious "Goodnight Moon"
This delightful accessible storybook for toddlers is similar to "Goodnight Moon" (which all little ones adore) except it has a religious slant. A little boy goes through his evening routine and says goodnight to all the animals in the park, etc. and ends by saying goodnight to God. The text is in verse form which little ones find appealing and which enhances their vocabulary and word skills. I bought this for our Lutheran church library and I know the little kids will love it. Lovely brilliant illustrations.

Wonderful, wonderful!
I love this book as much as my ...daughter. We have been reading it to her since she was a week old. If we try to read another book she wiggles around until we read this one. The art work is beautiful and the rhythm of the story is soothing. It is completely wonderful. We're going to have to buy another one because, like the Velveteen Rabbit, this book has had it's "fur loved off"!
