Great Book!
My 10 mo. old daughter loves this book and it's alot more durable than I thought it would be. She has ripped off some of the flaps but for the most part they are pretty strong. I definitely recommend this book to other parents especially for those whose children love Elmo!

great book, lots of lifting
I am always looking for educational type activities that are fun...my 18month daughther seems to really enjoy all the "lift windows" that are in this book. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful book! Needs adult help.
This is a wonderful book and my granddaughter loves it. I had to open all the tabs first as they are really stuck to the page and have to be pried open. If you let a toddler do this they will tear every tab and it will be difficult for them to even find the tabs. Any child into Sesame Street and who isn't will love this book!

Great Book for Tots
My son LOVED this book when he was about 2. It was a favorite and I read it to him too many times to count for a couple of years. I like to give this book as a gift. My godson (20 months) "reads" it every day. He loves to open the flaps and count. And of course, he's a huge Elmo fan. Highly recommended!

Not very durable
I recently purchased this for my 3 year old. On the plus side, he absolutely loves it. It is very engaging for a child who loves Sesame Street, and I think very educational too. But, one of the flaps ripped within 5 minutes of its first use. (And, my son is relatively gentle with his books.) We've had a lot of lift-and-look type books over the past 2+ years, and the strength/durability of this one does not compare. For example, the Baby Einstein series seems to have thicker flaps. Kids will probably love it, but be aware it might not last long.

Elmo's Big Lift and Learn Book
This is a great book for little girls and boys. My grandsons, ages 9 mos and 2 yrs, love it! It's a book they interact with, and they love that.

Elmo's Big Lift-And-Look Book
So many people gave good reviews to this book, but I cannot. I just received it and the flaps came off the first time I tried to open them. I noticed another recent review that indicated a similar problem. This makes me wonder if there has been a change in the manufacturing process. The pictures are very cute, but I had to spend an hour taping all the flaps. How annoying. Beware!!

A Mixed Bag: Great Book, Low Quality
I bought this book for my 15-month old son. I agree with all of the reviews listing this book as highly educational and fun for little ones...I mean, who can resist Elmo and the Sesame Street gang? My son even chuckled at Grover getting the hose dumped over him ("dry" versus "wet" when you lift the flap).

What disappointed me, however, was the flimsiness of the flaps. I don't know if the alphabet block flaps were supposed to be completely detached but about half of those flaps came off completely upon the first look-through of the book. Hence, those are scattered about the house somewhere, never to be found again, I'm sure. Maybe I got a lemon book? Additionally, my son had already torn several of the flaps on the last pages of the book (where you help find Elmo's teddy bear for him) completely off of the book. He wasn't that rough with the flaps, but the manufacturers of a flap book for the toddler set should reinforce the folding line!

My only beef with the content of the book is when trying to find Elmo's bear. Why didn't they hide it under a flap? My son, after a few readings of the book, wasn't interested in opening any of the flaps b/c he knew to run down to the corner of the page where the bear is sitting.

Recommended book, nonetheless, but you may want to tape all of the folding lines in anticipation of their destruction! =-)

Entertaining and educational!!
I have nothing but great things to say about this book, it is one of my 22 month old daughter's favorites. The book is very large and colorful with a lot of learning opportunities and fun Sesame Street characters. The first couple of pages are characters and other items hiding under the flaps (Bert and Ernie, Big Bird, cupcakes, shoes, hot dogs, etc.). The next 2 pages are lift the flap alphabet letters with a picture underneath each letter. Then there are 2 pages on different shapes with pictures (diamond is a kite, rectangle is a semi, circle is a sun) - and finally a lift the flap of things hiding in a classroom. It takes a while to get through all the book, and my daughter enjoys pointing everything out to me. I highly recommend this book!

my almost 2 y.o demands this book EVERY night
He loves lifting the flaps and finding what's under there... he has it memorized. The book is pretty sturdy too.
