June 5, 2008 Good book I bought this book and the book to draw animals for my son. These books are easy to follow and offer step by step instructions. My son has been enjoying these. He is able to follow the directions and draw the faces. November 24, 2007 Childhood memories I had this book as a kid and LOVED it. Ed makes drawing so simple any child can understand and follow along. I think every child should have some Ed Emberley books! October 28, 2007 Love Ed Emberley's My kids are too young for this, but I purchased it because I as a child, had 1 Ed Emberley book and I drew, and drew and drew! I can't wait till they can have as much fun as I did! October 28, 2007 I'm not afraid to draw faces now! I love to play at drawing and I always had the hardest times with faces and expressions. This book is great and breaks down the process with simple lines and shapes. The subjects range from people to animals. This would be a great gift for yourself or the artists you know and love! January 23, 2007 Lots of fun.... My 6 year old and I have a lot of fun with this book. I am no artist, so I really enjoy learning and these are fairly simple. We were on a family vacation and drew for several hours making monsters and adding backgrounds and bodies or Princess/Kings and castles. It was very entertaining. We even tried using the simple shapes to come up with our own faces. We also got the train/truck book for my sign, BUT it's a lot more complicated. January 15, 2007 Fair teaching, poor content I was rather dissappointed at the content offered and barely impressed at the book's attempt at teaching new skills. I bought the book for my 5, 7 and 9 year old children and the 9 year-old had already mastered all of the skills offered, the 7 year-old was bored very quickly and only the 5 year old's attention was held any length of time, but his age group lacks the concetration level to hang on for long. The content was far too simple and barely progressed through the entire book...this book should be marketed to only highly introverted 4-6 year-olds in my opinion, and then it would get only 3 stars.... January 11, 2007 Great Book for Teaching Expressions! My 5 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old sons LOVE these books, I am amazed at what they have learned to draw, and they enjoy creating their own versions of the faces shown in the book. My 2 1/2 year old daughter really likes to point out her favorite monsters for all of us to draw for her. This book encourages creativity and independent artistry! January 11, 2007 Ed Emberliy's Drawing Book of Faces It is an easy way to follow a drawing process. Kids love this book and the artist has touched little children's lives. January 9, 2007 One of my favorites... I love this book and Ed Emberley! He makes the pictures so easy to draw and my children both at home and at school LOVE to follow along with me and draw these cute pictures.
