Eclipse (Spanish Edition) Review
User Submitted Eclipse (Spanish Edition) ReviewsOctober 14, 2008 Oh Bella if only you could make up your mind.. I love all of her books, this one is also a great read for many different reasons. I know other reviews in the past had a hard time warming up to Bella. I really liked her in the first two because she was young so I cut her a bit of slack with being indecisive and just not really knowing what was going on. In this book I feel like the maturity difference between Edward,Jacob(who's even younger than her) and Bella was a bit much. They seem so much older and self sacrificing and she just comes off acting very childishly. I guess I just wish she would man up a bit. It seems like every time she tries to be all self sacrificing and "brave" it's really just to admittedly manipulate one of the two guys. I guess we're just supposed to accept that she's just so freak'n great (even though she's kinda winey, and not that pretty) that the world revolves around here. Besides my problems with Bella this is a wonderful book and I can't wait to get into the 4th one to see how everything gets tied up. All of the other Characters are great, and Bella's not that bad I guess I just can't really identity with her. September 28, 2008 Best book ever! I loved elcipse, this book, makes you sad, wou want more, fortunately you can read breaking dawn. i would read this book 10000 times, it is a perfect combination of action, adventure, and romance. you cant put .he book down. September 28, 2008 Eclipse I made a mistake in ordering this. It is a Spanish version. I had to send it back. I wanted a paperback. It should have been clearer that there wasn't an English paperback version. September 22, 2008 Complete disappointment I tried this series on the recommendation of others who have read it. I'm completely disappointed. I can see the appeal, most definitely, but Bella has to be one of the most immature 18 year olds I've read about. Edward, for me, is about as flat a character as a pancake, and even after reading three of the books, I still can't see or understand the attraction between these two. Bella is willing to give up her soul to eternal damnation for Edward based upon his smile, his eyes and his marble-hard body, and because he can cause her heart to skitter? Maybe I'm too much of a realist, which may explain why, when I read this series, I'm in a perpetual state of eyeroll. It may also explain why I constantly want to hit Bella upside the head. I understand that the author's studied literature, which forms the basis for many of the characterizations and material we read in this series, but honestly, there's no depth to the characters or the story. It's page upon page of endless, immature, emotional torture, all told from Bella's perspective as a girl blinded by what, in her mind, she calls love. And I'm disappointed in Charlie for his indifference to Bella. He seems more like a plot device rather than a concerned father, placed within the stories simply because a father figure was needed to round them out. Jacob is the only character who shows depth (and realistic thinking and emotion), and while his actions toward the end of the book made me do a major "huh?", he's become the sole reason I intend to finish reading the series. In short, that's a lot of money I've spent in favor of one, single, solitary character. What a waste of time and dollars. September 11, 2008 Exquisitely Crafted This was my favorite book in the series, with Twilight as a close second. As a reader, you are really brought into the story and get to experience all of the confusion and angst as it happens. I loved the dialogue, how there was humor and commonality between the Edward and Jacob characters. It seemed very authentic to me. The story was crafted with care and the emotional impact of this book made if very difficult to put down. It was the perfect balance of emotion and suspense. September 4, 2008 fantastic series Stephenie Meyers twilight series is an automatic addiction, prepare to be living and breathing edward and bella! August 31, 2008 Love this book! This book is awesome. I love the whole series and read them over and over. It is not just for young adults! If you buy one, you must buy them all..warning: you can not put them down! Way to rock our world Stephenie Meyer--the best series ever! August 18, 2008 Eclipse Twilight Saga Book 3 (Paperback) I absolutely love this series & the book was in somewhat acceptable condition when I received it. However that's not what was promised. I purchased the book NEW & when I received it, the cover was completely scratched up. I thought it could have been something in the mailing, but it was well-protected in the box. So I don't know why Amazon would send me a NEW book that LOOKED incredibly tatterd. The series itself is fantastic! July 2, 2008 Oops - it's in Spanish. Uh, yeah. It was my mistake. I got it and was so excited. . .then I realized it was in Spanish. Totally my mistake - it was written in black & white right in the description. My excitement got the best of me. ;c) June 21, 2008 The best of the twilight saga until now... It's a fantastic story, not only for teenagers if you ask me, the best of the three available books of the twilight saga, it has it all: romance, suspense, action, horror... all you would wish in a book and more.
