Early Readers Bible Review
"Excellent for Homeschool Use" User Submitted Early Readers Bible ReviewsMay 31, 2008 Early Reader's Bible it is easy to read for my daughter. I like the questions each of the section. March 29, 2008 Perfect Beginner's Bible for Preschoolers and Beginning Readers This collection of bible stories is a wonderful book for your preschool and beginning reader children. This book covers the story of creation, the crucifixtion and the resurrection. (Most children's bibles, in my memory, skip over the crucifixtion.) Original bible verses have been simplified so the earliest of readers can tackle the stories without difficulties. They're also easy to read aloud to your preschooler who hasn't mastered the ability to read. The pictures are colorful, and this is great introduction to the bible for children ages 3-7. January 26, 2008 Has It All! This Bible has it all. After the Bible story, there are 3-5 simple questions to ask your child. These help engage your child so you're not just reading to them. After the questions, there are some very simple activity suggestions to practice the Godly principles. This is so valuable because children need to see how the Bible applies to their lives. Most Bibles don't provide these wonderful tools. December 31, 2007 A Young Child's Bible I was looking for a Bible to share with my 5 1/2 year old granddaughter. She is learning to read, so I wanted a Bible that she could read with me. The Early Readers Bible is written for children that are just beginning to read. At the beginning of each book, there are a list of new words, that you can review with the new readers. The books are factual, but written in simple, easy to understand language. Both the old testament and the new testament are included. The main stories are told, in a simple, easy to follow way. The illustrations are colorful, enjoyable and bring the stories to life. I think this Bible will suit a child until the age of 10 or 11. It's the perfect Bible to read to younger children, to start new readers off in and it allows children, that can read, the opportunity to read and understand, their own Bible. July 26, 2007 I'll Keep it short but unfortunately not sweet My Sunday School students found the stories in this particular children's bible very boring and unappealing. I found the stories to be poorly edited, to the point that they made little sense. July 5, 2007 Great for young readers and parents This is a great bible for young readers. i would put the reading level to be for 5 or 6 year olds. it's great for parents to sit down with kids and encourage them to not only read, but to get to know the stories from the bible as well. also, each little story has a few follow up questions to help you talk about with your little reader to make sure they understand, and for you to begin discussion. The book itself is very high quality and the pictures are great. May 14, 2007 Good, but... stories not long enough Illustrations are nice and my 4 year old likes it. The stories are a little too short for me though. I think this is appropriate for an older toddler/younger preschooler. After each short bible story, there's a page of questions for discussion with your child. These are nice for reinforcement and good bedtime talk material. May 6, 2007 Great Children's Bible! Great Bible, my 8 your old son loves to read all the time. January 10, 2007 Not for AVID readers... My son is almost 7 years old and I bought this Bible thinking it would be "age appropriate." The sad part is that it does NOT have book name titles above the pages nor does it have verses. It's more like a Bible for new readers. I read other reviews and thought this would work out but I was wrong. I guess I'll save it for my 3 year old. Be advised. January 9, 2007 great under 10 book. my 6 year old absolutly Loves this book, we read a chapter every night and do the questions He can comprehend every story and reads most of them by himself. I would recommend this to anyone with a child under 10, older kids might be kinda bored with it. It is a great complement to sunday school. For more Early Readers Bible reviews click here.
