The 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See' book was recommended to me by both my 4 year old daughter's speech therapist and her teacher. In town just this book alone was priced at 7.95. I found the set here on Amazon.com and the price was just too good to pass up! All three of these books are great for helping teach proper sentence structure and pronoun usage with I and you. Brown Bear features colors, Polar Bear works on animal sounds and 'what do you hear?', and Panda Bear is 'what do you see' again with more specific animal names like a green sea turtle and a spider monkey. The art is timeless and the repetitive sentence structure enables your toddler or preschooler to read with you, making them fun as well as educational. While I initially bought this to help with some of my daughter's PDD challenges, since then these books have also been read to my 2 year old and she loves them too! I definitely recommend picking up this set! September 8, 2008 LOVE THESE BOOKS!! my 2.5 year old can't get enough of these books!!! i love reading them to her...they are quick and colorful! and what a great price for 3 of them! August 29, 2008 Wonders for a two year old! If you have a two year old at your house these books are a wonderful addition to your library. Our grandson was entranced by these books, which I enjoyed reading to him. He continues to ask for the "bear" book over and over and will actually sit in my lap for an entire reading. He has also learned more about colors and animals through these little books that he can hold while I read. August 29, 2008 Great gift for a two-year-old I bought this set for my niece's second birthday. Though it may not have been the most exciting present for her to receive/unwrap, her mom told me that it's one of the presents they have gotten the most use out of. My niece has pretty much memorized "Brown Bear" and is now learning some words from the other books as well. Great gift for any little kid! July 2, 2008 Read to the Babies! As an educator, school librarian, mom and now grandmother, this is a perfect set to introduce those little minds, hands, eyes and ears to reading and books. June 18, 2008 Beautiful, off-beat books. Our baby girl loves these books. They're pretty well indestructible. The artwork is charming and a little trippy. The panda book in particular is simply gorgeous. Highly recommended. June 15, 2008 Excellent buy! These books are great! I have been reading them to my son since he was just a few months old. Now, at almost 12 months, he really gets a kick out of turning the pages (nice and sturdy)and laughing when I make the animal noises. The only problem is that I don't know what many of the more "exotic" animals sound like! June 12, 2008 Great Books for Young Readers My 3 year old loves the Brown Bear Book, his had been damaged so I replaced it with the set. The other two books are OK, not as good as Brown Bear but he still likes them. The best thing about Brown Bear is he thinks he can actually "READ" it, which adds to his self esteem and helps him develop a joy for books.
