It's never too early to look and talk together! Perfect for babies from birth to age two! This accordion style foldout book is sturdy enough to stand by itself, and it is just the right size for little hands. Great for those first few months when baby is developing eye muscles and tracking. I got it for my daughter when she was an infant and now is a staple I give for baby gifts. September 8, 2008 Great Book for Babies These black and white books are great for babies - I buy them to go with all my baby shower gifts! This one is really great because it folds out like an accordian and you have black on white on one side and on the other side it is white on black. Babies will just lay and stare at the images! Still a good book for when the baby is 2 - my 2 year old will now "read" the book to my baby - she tells her what the pictures are! September 7, 2008 We like the images but... Several of the images are duplicates from other Tana Hoban books. This one is not our favorite especially since it is an accordion style foldout book. I recommend White on Black, Black on White and What is That? August 8, 2008 Must have! Adds variety to black n white collection Another great black and white book! It's okay to have variety. Maybe baby is content to see the same images over and over but will appreciate variety soon enough as they get older. Different black and whites make it interesting for mami and siblings too! A great buy. My 2 year old likes to "flash" the pages for his brother. Even my toddler can tell that he can get the baby's attention with "reading" to him. May 29, 2008 Really catpures babies attention Bought a few black and white books and have been showing them periodically since our baby has been only a few days old. He will stare at the book and study things. I've only gotten through the cover and one page but I can see the images really capture the babies attention. Will be using it for months to come. Very nice illustrations. Highly recommended. March 28, 2008 Great purchase! We set this up by the side of our daughter's play mat. She's two months old and loves to look at the different images. I'm sure it will only get more use as she gets older. January 21, 2008 My favorite baby shower gift! I loved this book for my newborn. He loved to stare at the pictures in this book, even in the first month of life (when it was hard to get him to look at much at all). The accordion style was perfect to set around him as he lay down. I think he liked the keys the best. Now he loves to chew the corners! This is my favorite gift for new moms as it is a book that can be enjoyed the first few weeks! November 29, 2007 Book is great for wondering little eyes : ) My baby was just 2 months when i purchase this book he is now one and an avid reader he just staired at this book laid out on the bed well now he tries to flip the pages but can't becuase it's like an accordian....so i rip them out and placed them in frames in his room they look so cool......buy it you will see what i mean : ) For more Black & White reviews click here.
