User Submitted Baby's First Bible (First Bible Collection) ReviewsJune 11, 2008 Baptism gift idea This was a baptism gift for my godson. It is a really nice and sturdy book that can be read to baby. We had one similar for my kids and it would always go to church with us. It held up well to anything a baby/toddler's can do to it - and this one will too. August 11, 2007 A Disappointment I was really disappointed in the quality of this book. It was listed as good and I intended to give it as a gift. However, upon receipt, my idea of good and the seller's must be very different. It was very worn and tattered and, in my opinion, in poor condition. June 27, 2007 Great book for baby I bought this for my cousin's daughters baptism and it was perfect. The bright colors and the pictures capture my little cousin's eyes and it something that parents can read to their children when it is ready for bed time. May 22, 2007 Great introduction for toddlers! My 3 y.o. son practically demands we read this book every night before bed during our family bible and prayer time. Just the right amount of text, spiritual 'milk' aimed right at the young listener, and nice illustrations to boot. The 'action items' on each page really excite our young one, he can't wait to roar like a lion, baa like a sheep or sing 'happy birthday' to Jesus each night. My wife and I are going to start teaching in our church's toddler room this summer and this book is definitely coming with us! May 15, 2007 6 Month Old Baby Loves It I have been reading books to my 6 month old baby since he was about 3 months old. He absolutely loves it! January 4, 2007 Perfect Gift! Our parish has used the Baby's First Bible for several years as a gift to the baby upon the occasion of their baptism. It is well-received by the parents and children alike. December 14, 2006 colorful and fun to look at purchased it as a gift for a friend. The binding is cute and the pictures are fun too look at. August 16, 2006 Zoe learns about God My daughter, Zoe (21 months old) and I, loved this book. The basic language & rhymes used by the author are easy to read & entertaining for toddlers. The illustrations are vibrant & eye-catching. This was a great buy!! October 4, 2005 Attractive Book for Little Eyes Beautiful hardcover book. Attractive colors for little eyes and application instruction for parents at every page. My daughter loves to turn the pages as I read out loud to her.. October 1, 2004 Aptly named! A simple but complete Biblical introduction! This Bible is wonderful. The simple (often rhyming) text, cute illustrations, and charming design are expertly done. Even better, it includes most of the essential truths of the Bible, from creation to the resurrection and even a sample 'law' and 'psalm'. We just can't believe how much it includes while being so brief and baby-friendly! Baby's First Bible does kind of skip explaining original sin. But for a text this short, it's not surprising. And sin is easy for a caregiver to explain along with the stories of creation (what did Adam and Eve do next?), or Noah's ark (why did the flood come?), or Jesus' death and resurrection (why did He do it?). We can't think of a better way to start learning about the world and our place in it. This is a must-have book for every family!
