All the World Review
It is there. It is everywhere. All the world is right where you are. Now. Following a circle of family and friends through the course of a day from morning till night, this book affirms the importance of all things great and small in our world, from the tiniest shell on the beach, to warm family connections, to the widest sunset sky User Submitted All the World ReviewsAugust 6, 2010 A beautiful lyrical romp through the world All the World is a beautiful, lyrical romp through the world as seen through the eyes of a child--Not only beautifully written in a simple yet poetic style, but also beautifully illustrated, creating images of hope and joy and happiness that we should all be striving to cultivate in our families, homes, and communities. Even when the rain pours, we can choose to live in harmony. August 4, 2010 Gorgeous illustrations and positive message This book has totally captured my 4 year old son, he requests it each night as a bedtime story. I love the poetry of the text which conveys so much with few words. The vivid illustrations capture the relationships between parents and children, couples, even people and pets beautifully. We have a great time discussing the story but also what is going on in the pictures, the emotions of the people, what will happen over time, etc. For our family the inclusion of same sex couples, multi ethnic families, a nursing baby are all welcome. Overall the book is warm and reassuring, the world is a beautiful place because we all make it so. April 14, 2010 Simple, beautiful, peaceful story and pictures This is a beautiful book for bedtime. You can read it at whatever pace suits you. There are so many things to see in each of the lovely illustrations. We had fun picking out the same people in each picture as the day progressed. Lovely. April 14, 2010 a beautifully told & drawn journey A favorite. Beautiful illustrations give you and your child a world to explore and in which you can find the parts of the world about which the text speaks. Meditative, but fun. March 8, 2010 Beautiful Book & Message We just got this book from our library and have now added it to our wishlist to purchase. The images are dreamy and we really like the sing song lyrical flow of the words. As an attachment parenting mother I really adored the babies in slings and breastfeeding. I was also very happy to see things that we hold dear to us, such as a community gardening and all different kinds of families and the beautiful scene of everyone together making music. A lovely addition to the home library for open minded attachment parenting families. For more All the World reviews click here.
