A Smart Girl's Guide to Starting Middle School: Everything You Need to Know About Juggling More Homework, More Teachers, and More Friends (American Girl Library) Review
User Submitted A Smart Girl's Guide to Starting Middle School: Everything You Need to Know About Juggling More Homework, More Teachers, and More Friends (American Girl Library) ReviewsNovember 16, 2008 Worth the Money I bought this book for my daughter and she loves it. It has a lot of good information for her and helpful tips about how to handle a variety of situations that young girls encounter upon entering middle school. It is written well and has great illustrations. A must have for young girls. August 11, 2008 Daughter loves this book! My daughter is entering Middle School this year. She is 10 years old and she and her friends love this book and have read it several times! June 2, 2008 Thoroughly Enjoyable I got this book for my niece who was a little nervous about starting middle school. We both read it and I thought it had plenty of good information and tips. I think it also helped with some of her nervousness. December 21, 2007 A Must for Fifth Grade Girls I bought this for a grand daughter who'ss getting ready for middle school next year. She's been 'freaking out' over the significant changes in middle school. I haven't read the entire book but I've skimmed it enough to see that it will be a life saver for her, and I highly recommend it for anyone who has a girl leaving the comfort of elementary school. November 5, 2007 Hmmmmmm Book outer cover & edge wear was inconsistant with the listing. Book is great! October 21, 2007 This book helped me ALLOT!!!!!!!!!!! I was scared bout starting middle school and I read this book and it answered all my questions. Any girl starting middle school soon should read this book. October 3, 2007 Not that great... :( I got this book from the library, because even though I'm homeschooled, I was hoping it might give me tips on studying for tests doing homework, and other such things. The only thing in there I didn't really know before was how to place things in your backpack to make it not so heavy. And their schedule for getting ready in the morning was not bad either. Also, the "After School" section, gave you pretty good advice on tryouts and how much is too much activities. But being as to how that's just about two thirds of the book I'd say it's not worth your money. Also they make middle school sound scarier than I think it really is. For example, they said "Picture yourself having a good time in middle school." They make it sound like you're going to a different country! So overall, you might get it at the library, but I wouldn't buy it. October 3, 2007 Smart Giirls Guide My daughter started middle school this year and has read this book from cover to cover at least 5 times. She has always liked American Girl books and I don't have to worry about her reading inappropriate material. Highly recommend for any girl starting middle school. January 12, 2007 Another American Girl Success My daughter will be entering middle school next year. As far as books go, this one will help her more than any other I've seen. Every book in this series has been a hit and this one is no exception. January 2, 2007 Not that helpful My eleven year old daughter and i read it. It was not that helpful. Everything in there she already knew. I recomend it if you were homeschooled but otherwise it's not that great.
